Cyprian Kiswili
He works predominantly in the medium of mixed media and is not subject specific. He defines his style as a revival of the significance of contemporary art, a valued tradition in a new era, with a new interpretation reflecting today s spirit of the time. His style of painting with its intensely colorful and vibrant subject matter reflects today's life in its entirety from the hustle and bustle of urban life to the calmness of leisure time through a combination of recycled material, colour, texture and symbolism. Kiswili is also a trained illustrator and an award-winning designer.
some of his awards include; - Global Winner of the 2019 Bata Young Designers Challenge by Bata in Prague, Czech Republic (Best sneaker design) - 2020 Winner of the #ArtofTheCity art competition by Art Caffe. - Dell sleeve design challenge overall winner 2022 He has exhibited his work in many national exhibitions such as at The National Museums of Kenya, GoDown Arts Center, Nairobi Royal Golf club etc. He has a growing fan base of collectors and enthusiasts worldwide. He is represented by the Almasi Art Agency and currently shows at the Agency’s gallery space in Diani.
