Founded in 2019, Almasi Art Agency (AAA) began by collaborating with artists and local venues in Diani Beach on Kenya’s South Coast, curating bespoke pop-up exhibitions that connected artists directly with discerning audiences. In 2023, the agency established its permanent home at the scenic Ali’s Plaza, opposite the Diani Reef Hotel & Spa, marking a significant new chapter in its growth.
The gallery is dedicated to the sourcing, promotion, and sale of fine art, with a clear emphasis on the professional development of each artist represented and an uncompromising commitment to client satisfaction. While Almasi works with a number of established artists, it places particular
focus on the representation and advancement of emerging talent.
Currently, Almasi Art Agency collaborates with over 70 artists from 19 nationalities, encompassing a diverse and accomplished community of painters, sculptors, photographers, and mixed-media practitioners.
All represented artists engage with fine African art and subject
matter, many having exhibited internationally, while several younger artists are steadily gaining prominence on the global stage.
The agency was founded by Reuben Matara Onsinyo, a dedicated art professional with over 15 years of experience working with artists, collectors, and institutions worldwide. Specializing in fine African art, he has curated more than 30 exhibitions and represents a rich and evolving catalogue of artists from over 20 countries.
Driven by a commitment to nurturing the next generation of African artists and fostering long- term sustainability within the art ecosystem, Almasi Art Agency actively creates platforms that bring emerging voices to wider audiences.
