Biography
Richie Njogu
Njogu, born in 1992 is a deconstructive mixed media artist from Bungoma and a holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Project and Management from Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya
With a passion for experimentation, Njogu's style has evolved over the course of his career. His adaptability to different mediums and talent for drawing, painting and collage work is highlighted in his latest vinyl series. This powerful and textural series draws inspiration from black essence and legends of African music.
In early 2015, he started experimenting with different techniques and mediums, including acylic paints and oil pastels. He used these as the background for his pieces.
So far, he has been able to participate in various group exhibitions and has successfully hung a collaborative exhibition with Clavers Odhiambo, in February 2016 titled " The Red Exhibition".
He has worked with Almasi Art Agency for the last two years and in the recent Recycled Edition Exhibition at the The Sands at Nomad and now shows at the AAA space in Diani Beach, Kenya.
